Tips for getting a home awarded

In most cases, when selling or renting out a home, it is important that the buyer or tenant is able and willing to pay the price, that the financing is not a problem and that the sale is possibly overbid. Yet, you will not be the first to be awarded a home with a little extra effort. That is why PPHAW Real Estate has listed a number of tips for you.
Don’t be stingy with compliments
Even if a seller or landlord goes for the maximum yield, they are still people. And so they are not always purely rational, but they also react emotionally. It can help to praise the owner of a home for the way the home has been renovated or decorated. Make the other party feel equally proud.
You can respond to the emotion of the seller or landlord with a personal story from your side and thus increase the gun factor. Include a personal letter with your bid. Send a present. Or let your child make a beautiful drawing. Cultivating sympathy may just be the deciding factor.
Listen and ask
The more personal your charm offensive is, the better. Try to find out what the selling or renting party is sensitive to. That starts with good listening. For example, ask why the seller is moving and what appeals to them about the home. Watch for signs that the home is evoking emotions and at what point. Are they real garden lovers? Do you see a collection? Do they like to cook?
Sellers are often more emotional than you think. Babies have been born and children have been raised in their home. Then it helps if you say something nice about their home. Older sellers are especially receptive to this.
Motivation letter or video
If you have figured out how to strike the right chord with the seller or landlord, write a nice motivation letter. Include a photo of you, your partner or your family. Or make it even more personal and send a video.
It is always a good idea to hire a real estate agent.
